Description

This ten-mile section is a nice day run and an equally fun mountain bike trip. This trail will eventually connect to the Ozark Trail: Taum Sauk Section via Ketcherside Mountain.

The Marble Creek Trail is the neglected sister-trail to the Ozark Trail. It stretches between the Taum Sauk and Wappapello sections. Currently, private land prevents the connection at the end of the trail in either direction.

The trail is a point-to-point from Marble Creek Campground to the Crane Lake trailhead with a loop around Crane Lake. The southern section of the loop is more scenic, as it passes by the shut-ins below the dam and goes by some interesting geology.
