Overview

Mt. Qixing (1,120 m) is the highest mountain in Taipei, Taiwan. Touting gorgeous views over the entire Yangmingshan National Park, this run is a must-do if you're in the area and you have the fitness for it.

Description

This half-day run starts from the Miaopu Trailhead near the Visitor Center. After a 2.2km run on steep terrain from the trailhead, you'll arrive at the main peak of Mount Qixing, where you can enjoy a great view of the Taipei City Basin. After the main peak, you can continue running to the east peak, which is not far from the main peak, or take the same route back to the trailhead.

The stairs on the trail can be wet and slippery in the early morning, so use caution especially on the way down.
