Kauri trees grow along these trails. Please use the gear cleaning stations at the start and end of your run to prevent the spread of Kauri dieback.

Description

From the Auckland City Walk, the Anderson Track heads east, first along the Waitakere Stream before starting a somewhat steep, but short, climb up a ridge. RunnerS will emerge from the bush to a clearing near the end of the track that used to be an old homestead. The trail ends at Scenic Drive with the option to either retrace your steps or to continue exploring the trails on the other side of Scenic Drive.

Flora & Fauna

Kauri trees can be found at the west end, changing to a predominantly lowland podocarp broadleaf forest on the east end.
