Runner Notes

This is an easy-going trail that can be too heavily trafficked to warrant trying to run. Go early in the morning to avoid the crowds.

Description

This popular trail leads to a large, wooded box canyon where the sounds of rushing water welcome runners. Explore a little deeper and you'll reveal a tall waterfall cascading into a hidden alcove.

The falling water, with its layered-rock backdrop and shallow pool at the base, are beautiful in every season. The trail attracts plenty of visitors in the winter who want to see the falls consumed by ice.
