Runner Notes

Short trail on boardwalk.

Description

This short, boardwalk loop goes through open meadows and a small stand of trees explaining the area's natural history including glacial boulders, open meadows, and fires. Benches and interpretive signs make this interesting and accessible for the whole family.

Flora & Fauna

Open meadows deliver great spring and early summer flowers. Bison are common in the area with occasional wolves visible, but visitors usually need spotting scopes for them.
