Description

This is a great section of Ice Age Trail in Kettle Moraine-Northern Unit. The southern part of the trail traverses a wetland in open prairie. The remainder of the trail is mostly in fairly thick forests. There are some really good climbs in various parts of this trail, along with some nice flat parts.

The scenery is wonderful. Within the thick forests, there are various views of picturesque lakes (kettles) along the way. Wild turkeys, deer, and great blue herons, among lots of other typical upper midwestern fauna, are found here. This is definitely a worthwhile trail to check out.
