Description

This trail stays lower than Deer Mountain Trail as it skirts the mountain's northern flanks. From the Deer Ridge Trailhead, this trail heads northward before bending gradually to the west and south as it descends around Deer Mountain's base. If desired, this trail can be linked to the Deer Mountain Trail to create a 9.5 mile loop of the area. Enjoy the grandiose views of Deer Mountain and surrounding peaks as you descend towards Estes Park.

full loop. north deer mountain was much quieter than the tourist super highway on the south trail. some beautiful, legitimate singletrack back here.
