Need to Know

El Yunque is a rain forest. River floods are deadly and can happen at any moment. Please check the weather or talk to a Ranger before heading to the trail.

Please bring plenty of water. The most difficult part of the tail is going back uphill to the parking lot.

Description

Drive up Road 191. The trailhead is on KM 8.8. There's a small parking lot at the trailhead. Most people will go in and out from the same direction. That been said, the first half of the trail is a very step section, specially the first quarter of a mile. The trail crosses a few creek and also La Coca Campground. At the end you'll see the Rio La Mina and a sign stating The end of the trail. If you continue along you'll meet the Bisley Trail.
