The trip goes on a narrow path with a steady climb in forest terrain, before the terrain opens towards the top. The stone at the top with added cairns means that the destination is popularly called "Høna". Høna is located in the Skirvedalen nature reserve, and has views to Senhovd and Blefjell in the south, Norefjell in the east and Dagrønuten and Eidsfjell to the north.

Turen går på smal sti med jevn stigning i skogsterreng, før terrenget åpner seg mot toppen. Steinen på toppen med påbygde varder gjør at turmålet på folkemunne blir kalt «Høna». Høna ligger i Skirvedalen naturreservat, og har utsikt til Senhovd og Blefjell i sør, Norefjell i øst og Dagrønuten og Eidsfjell mot nord.
