This paved trail begins on the south side of Buffalo Bayou at Mason Road. Numerous trails come together in this area.

The trail runs about a half a mile along the right bank of Buffalo Bayou to the Willow Fork Diversion Channel. The trail then runs along the left bank of the diversion channel with at-grade crossings at S. Fry Road and Mason Road to end at Exploration Park.

Note that construction, ownership and maintenance of trails in this area is not seamless. Trail names and limits noted here are inspired by the original construction designation but adapted to sensible trail segments. If you have an inquiry about a particular point on a trail, you may have to talk to Ft. Bend County, the Willow Fork Drainage District (WFDD), the local municipal utility district (MUD) or homeowners association (HOA).
