Runner Notes

This trail is pretty good for runners except for the portion on sand. The sand is loose and has a lot of rocks making for some uneven terrain.

Description

The gravel parking lot has room for a few cars, and a short connecting path leads to the Forest Brook Trail. Bearing left from the gravel circuit, you run to the left through some knee high grasses down an area cleared for power lines. After a few hundred feet, you bear left into the trees. Keep your eyes peeled because the trail sign isn't exactly easy to see.

From their, its a nice run through some wooded area, passing a 19th century grave along away. After a short distance, there is a hard right turn down a sandy trail. The path continues until you pass through the clearing again, before bearing right again through some wooded area.

After a short distance through some mature forest, you enter a newer forest and come upon a fork. If you go left, you end up on a connecting trail that leads to the Farrington Lake Trail. Going right will lead you back to close the circuit.

Flora & Fauna

There isn't much to see on this trail. The occasional deer family, and you may sometimes run into equestrian horses.
