Need to Know

There is no parking at the trailhead. Park on the east side of the bridge near the Valhalla park sign.

Description

Park on the east side of the bridge as there is no parking at the trailhead. Proceed across the bridge and then north to find the well-marked trail. The trail rises and falls moderately but follows the shoreline for about 8km to Evans Creek. Be careful at one point (signed) as the trail must go inland and upwards to bypass private property. This area is well-signed. Various viewpoints give a view of the lake and there are several small beaches for lunching. Evans creek has seven tent platforms, an outhouse, food cache and small shelter. There are additional, unofficial, sites to pitch a tent on the sandy beach.
