Description
This is a great trail that goes around half of Boardman Lake in Traverse City. This trail is still in progress and TART Trails still needs more donation money to finish the trail. The trail starts at Fourteenth St and Lake Ridge Circle. The trail starts heading north and then starts following the train tracks. The trail next goes to a boardwalk then crosses the part of Boardman River that it leads into Boardman Lake on that boardwalk. The trail then turns into a paved trail and closely follows Boardman Lake east.
Next, the trail leads into Hull Park and meets the trail tracks again. After that, the trail makes a curve now going south. Then, the trail crosses Centre Pl and follows Boardman Lake straight south. Next, the trail goes southwest and then going south again closely following the shoreline of Boardman Lake. After that, the trail reaches South Airport Rd and turns into boardwalk crossing the east branch of the Boardman River. The trail then turns into a sidewalk and enters Medalie Park closely following the east branch of the Boardman River. Finally, the trail follows the west branch of the Boardman River until the trail reaches a parking lot.
