Description

This is another of the vast network of forest roads traversing the Schwarzwald (Black Forest). It starts at the outskirts of the village of Obertsrot along the Murg River and climbs steadily at about 10% grade up (400 m; 1,300 ft) to the main ridge separating the Murg Valley from the Rhein River Valley.

Shortly after you leave Obertsrot, you find yourself immersed in the dense forest and you feel far from civilization. This route ends at the Lindelhütte (mountain hut with shelter but no services) where several forest roads intersect.

It won't give you a technical workout, but it may give your cardio a run for your money.
