Need to Know

Parking is on Audubon Road. Access to the trails is through an opening in the fence to the left of the gate by the old red shed building.

Description

The easiest way to access this trail is to park on the south side of Audubon Road, about half mile west of Highway M. Look for the red shed with a gate that leads to a hayfield. To the left of the gate is an opening in the fence for runners to access the trails.

Once through the gate, head west between the red shed and the fence along Audubon Road. The trail cuts to the south and then follows the fence line for the property. There is one location where the trail cuts to the left around a wet area; otherwise, it's easy to follow. Runners will come out of the woods and follow the edge of the woods and hayfield north to get back to the red shed and road. Along the edge of the field is also a few bee hives. There are two trails that break off of the Kinglet Trail.

Flora & Fauna

Great for watching for forest birds, woodland flowers in the spring, and checking out the honeybees.
