Description

Starting from either end, you'll climb some decent rocky gulches over the ribs on the southwest corner of the West Maui Mountains. At the top, the trail levels out for a bit before starting the descent on either side. It's pretty cool to run past the giant wind turbines that pretty well mark the middle of the trail.

Looking west into the sea...the view of the ocean is better on this side of the slope.

A gulch, whose name I've forgotten, on the western slope just past the wind turbines. This section was rougher but also prettier in my opinion.

Trail is 5 miles. I ran it both ways. Very fun, pretty scenery, amazing views. Pretty technical with all the rocks and elevation. I'd say 60% runnable 10.1mi — 2h 29m
