This trail starts off of the Sterling Lake Trail a very short distance east of the visitor center and main parking area. The trail crosses Highway 84 so be mindful of cars. As you wind along this trail you'll pass a small, scenic lake before arriving at a tiny boat launch. After this short stretch on roadway/parking area you'll pass by the lake and come to the McKeags Meadow Trail. Notice that the "meadow" is a forest, not a meadow!
