This is a trail in Barker Reservoir that is not maintained. Please comply with Corps of Engineers' regulations by not disturbing the ground or vegetation. Refer to the "Addicks Reservoir" page for area-wide information.

Description

This natural surface trace runs west in the northwest section of Barker Reservoir from the George Bush Hike and Bike Trail. This is a dead-end trail.

Moving west from the George Bush Hike and Bike Trail, the trace is gravel road up to the county's dog training facility. From there, it turns northwest and follows a rather overgrown path to a bridge which crosses the drainage. The bridge is legacy infrastructure from the old ranch that was there before the reservoir was built. The trace then runs mostly west to the end of the Corps of Engineer's property where it ends.

Be prepared for mosquitoes.
