The trail starts from the Lake Marion Creek WMA Cypress Parkway Trailhead on the north side of Hwy 580. It moves through several different ecosystems creating a connection to several pine flatwoods islands. The trail is a well-maintained doubletrack but it does have some wet/muddy sections; overall, however, it offers easy running for all.
