Description

Start out on Sand Road at the junction with Lower Wekiva Loop. Head north on the road and cross the bridge over Blackwater Creek. Up the hill and cross Grade Road and look for the trail markers on the left. The trail is in the open here, in an area recently logged, so the trail can be rough. Follow the trail west; as you cross Sulpher Road you'll head down into a swampy area with pretty cypress trees.

Up a short climb, you'll pop out along Grade Road following this for a short section to get you past the very swampy areas. After about 0.5 mile, the trail heads north, then east, back into the woods and through some pretty pine forests. Cross Grade Road again and head downhill to another low area with thick woods. As you climb up and out of the woods behind the ranger house and Coral Camp, you'll cross Grade Road again before reaching the intersection of Rt 44 and 44A.

There is no parking at this end of the trail.
