Description

There are several routes to the top and the trail is not well marked. The intersection of Navigation Way and N. Livingston Way is one of the trailheads but you'll need to park on a side road (not too far). The trail is really flat for several miles. Keep right every time you're not sure. There is a smaller hill with a flat rock (perfect for sitting). From here you get a good view of the trail as it gets a bit hillier.

Once you start going uphill there will be a cairn with a log on it. This is the part of the trail that loops to the top. Either will take you to the top and you can go up and back, or you can do a loop. This is a nice 5 miles or so that I do when I don't have time for a full climb.

Going clockwise from the cairn (left turn) is longer and flatter. Counter-clockwise is steeper an shorter. If you go clockwise it's almost a traverse around the mountain before you climb. As you get to the back side (east) you'll see a WIDE path (road) going up a smaller hill. Keep heading east, the trail is straight across the intersection. Using this trail, you'll get to the summit first (I think) It has a flag, a geo-cache box and a bench.

If you go counter-clockwise: you'll get to [what you think is] the summit. There is a rock pile but no flag. BEAUTIFUL view. Looking west, you can see Lake Peasant. From here continue east on pretty level ground and look for the [other] summit with the flag.

NOTES:
There is VERY little shade.
If you go at sunrise in the summer; go counterclockwise and stay in the shade longer.
In the winter: go clockwise and get in the sun faster.
