Need to Know

DO NOT STAND DIRECTLY UNDER THE FALLS. The rocks in this canyon flake off so or you could get hit by some decent sized rocks.

Runner Notes

There is a significant section that is loose and rocky and steep, as well as some sections that have steep drop offs and feel somewhat exposed.

Description

This trail starts from the same parking lot as the Kiwanis Park in Pleasant Grove, and starts out on a wide, smooth gravel trail as it starts up the canyon. It passes by a few small water retention structures and then, within a half mile, starts to get steeper, and pretty soon there is a little spur trail to and a view of Battle Creek Falls, which is a pretty good sized waterfall.

From this point, the trail gets really interesting as it starts to follow the creek through a steep-walled and rocky section of the canyon for about 0.75 miles. The trail then starts up a steep, loose, and rocky section of the trail for about 0.5 miles, and then emerges into a meadow area, where the trail starts to become less steep, and you start to get some views of Mount Timpanogos. The trail then connects with the GWT: Dry Canyon Trail and ends there.
