Description

Starting from the eastern junction with the primary Ellett Valley Nature Trail (Yellow), the blue-blazed secondary trail weaves around a hilltop with alternating short rises and flat sections. A few hundred yards before the western terminus of the trail, it gets very steep with large stair steps all the way up to the western terminus.

This is a lightly-used area protecting a swath of hardwood forest. Be sure to treat it with respect and respect surrounding landowners. There is no hunting allowed in Ellett Valley Nature Park, but the area to the west of the trail has multiple hunting tree-stands, so dress in bright colors (including your dogs) during hunting season (generally October through January).
