Overview

While this little trail system is right next to the expressway, don't let that deter you. The sound of passing cars is almost instantly hidden by the flowing creek and the amazing Postcard Waterfalls (one of the most photographed waterfalls around!). Along the way, enjoy very easy running and well-groomed trails.

Description

Starting from the parking area near the expressway, follow Glen Road across the train tracks to reach the beginning of the trail network. Upon reaching your first junction, head right on the Perimeter Trail to follow pleasant forests along Allen Creek. A short ways down the trail, make a right at the Postcard Falls Overlook Spur to catch a glimpse of the gorgeous waterfall.

After enjoy the waterfall, the Perimeter Trail winds its way through more forest before reaching a junction with the Long Woodchip Trail. Make a right here to follow the trail to a junction with the Short Woodchip Trail. Take a right to make your way around the loop, passing two junctions with the Stone Dust Loop Trail to find the northern end of the Short Woodchip Trail. From here, it's only a quick jaunt down the Short Woodchip Trail to the junction with the Long Woodchip Trail and the return to the parking area.
