Description

The trail officially starts at Kopper Park however, you're not missing much if you park at the Fraser baseball fields about 1/2 mile north. The first 8.4 miles will have you running through Fraser Valley on county roads and sections of dual track. On a sunny days the views of old mining homesteads and surrounding peaks are fantastic.

Once you've passed through Tabernash, the trail turns into packed gravel until you reach the YMCA of the Rockies. Terrain beyond this point becomes rougher.

A short descent will bring you to an extended climb over the ridge towards Granby Ranch. At the top of the climb you'll come out on a county road that provides access to the cross country trails at Granby Ranch. If this is your intended destination, look for an access gate on your right. If you are continuing to Granby, descend the county roads through the sub division following the signs for the Fraser to Granby Trail.

You'll eventually pick up the singletrack again and begin a wonderfully long descent into Granby. Level out near the City Market and continue through another subdivision for the final few miles, on a smooth but uneventful path.
