This trail was newly built and completed in 2013 as a joint project with the FTA and BONC. This is a true masterpiece of trail engineering. Very few rugged sections, and not much cliff hugging. This smooth trail is packed down, but gets a bit chewed up after summer from all the traffic.

A perfect finish to a long Pioneer run, it can be traveled as an out-and-back or looped. This trail is great down and not a bad climb either, far more enjoyable than going up Scott's Flat Road.

The lakeside section on Scott's Flat lake is a perfect finish to the sweet downhill, it meanders along the shoreline with some exposure and several places to hop in for a swim, or just catch some rays... When you get to the dam, that's the end of the line. Return the way you came, or climb up through the campgrounds and back to Hwy 20 on Scott's Flat Road.
