Description

Accessible from the saddle between this peak and Devil's Castle, Sugarloaf is definitely easier on the eyes in terms of the view up to the summit. With plenty of rocks, this trail will definitely test your balance. There are patches of bushes on the way up, and the "peak" that is visible from the saddle is a false peak—the real peak is a little farther. But at less than 300 feet of elevation gain along this short trail, the true peak can be easily achieved.

Flora & Fauna

There are patches of bushes, grasses, and small trees scattered on the ridge, but like most environments at this altitude, little grows in abundance besides moss and small grass. Much of the fauna consists of insects.
