This trail is unmaintained and unmarked. Be aware of the slower progress that this will imply when planning an outing. Be aware of changing weather conditions due to the flash flood potential.

Description

This trail connects all three bridges in Natural Bridges National Monument along the bottom of the canyon. It is unmaintained so at times it can be rough going - either bushwhacking or very sandy. Plan extra time to account for this than the distance along would suggest.

Starting from the Sipapu Bridge parking area take the Sipapu Trail path down to the bottom of the canyon. Begin heading southwest through the bottom of the canyon. The trail itself can be hard to follow as it disappears in brush or blends in with the dry river bottom, but you won't get lost because you're in a canyon. Do try to avoid cryptobiotic soil. It can take decades for the desert to recover from even a single footprint.

Continue heading along the bottom of the canyon to the Kachina Bridge. The trail will pass through the bridge. You need to take the Kachina Bridge Trail part way up onto a ledge to bypass a dry falls that is just south of Kachina Bridge.

The trail will then rejoin the dry river bottom after the dry falls and head south. The canyon is more winding after this point so the distance is longer than it may appear. Eventually, you'll get to Owachomo Bridge, the third and southernmost bridge in Natural Bridges National Monument. The trail will end here.

You'll either need to arrange a shuttle, retrace your steps, or take the Owachomo Bridge to Sipapu Bridge Trail on the return journey.
