From the start, this route is fairly manageable, however the grade will soon pick up, and you'll notice that you're climbing on your way out. The trail is wide and well maintained between the Crawford Trail and La Cueva Trail, but more difficult up toward mines at top of trail, as the track narrows. The effort will be worthwhile, as you'll reach a scenic waterfall.
Once you've had your fill, you can connect to another trail, or head back to the trailhead.
