The preserve and trails are closed from June through the end of September each year, Christmas week, and New Years Day.

Runner Notes

This trail would be appropriate for running, although it is shared with horseback riders, who you'll need to yield to.

Description

This route is an alternate branch of the Tuscawilla Trail that runs through pine flatwoods out to the south easement road.

Flora & Fauna

Pine flatwood forest with cabbage palms, live and laurel oaks, and other hardwoods. Cattle are often seen along this trail, as well as bobcat and deer. Panther and bear are also present.
