Description

Originally built for cross-country skiing, this trail is great for hikers and runners as well.

What Makes It Great:

It’s a well-traveled path for hikers year-round, but draws a number of trail running enthusiasts during peak season, too, so listen for the “on your left” of passing runners. Expect beautiful views, scenery and elevation changes.

Who is Going to Love It:

It goes without saying that hikers and trail runners are going to love this trail. But with ample deer, chipmunks, squirrels, and plenty of birdwatching opportunities, the odds are good that you’ll tire out physically before you ever tire of your surroundings.

Flora & Fauna

Asters grow here in abundance in the late summer.

Looking back up at the scenic viewpoint hill near the Pine Hollow trailhead. Definitely include the top of this hill in any hikes you do in this area.
