Description

This passage of the AZT begins at the Post Office in Patagonia. The trail starts by following Hwy 82 to the northeast for 0.25 miles. Here, it turns left onto Temporal Canyon Road (FR 72) and continues up Walker Canyon to the Walker Basin Trailhead.

Heading north toward the Casa Blanca Canyon, the trail passes Upper Walker Tank and goes up and over the saddle. Skirting Bear Spring, the trail crosses a number of drainages as it continues parallel to the contours of Ditch Mountain to the west. The trail then arrives at the Tunnel Springs Trailhead.

From the trailhead, it heads east with the Tunnel Spring drainage and then crosses down the old flume toward the north and east, ending at Gardner Canyon Road.
