Description
This blue-blazed singletrack is very accessible with parking areas on either end of it. The majority of Elkwalllow Trail runs parallel to Skyline Drive, but provides an easy excursion into the woods.
Starting from the Elkwallow Trailhead, east of Elkwallow Wayside, the trail climbs abruptly but don't worry, most of the trail is fairly gradual, heading up and over an easy hill. The final push to the Matthews Arm Campground requires one last effort.
Elkwallow Wayside is a great spot for groceries to pack a lunch or snacks for the trail.
