Description

Start at the intersection with Charcoal Flats and wind your way uphill. The grade starts gradually but becomes fairly steep for a short distance. At the ridge, you'll intersect with a trail where you'll head right (left takes you to private property). Depending on the season, you'll now have a great view of State College to your left as you traverse the ridge for a short distance.

The trail then drops incredibly steeply and must be walked. Use trees and the attached ropes to get down the cliffs on this precipitous trail. There are no technical climbing skills required but be careful, especially if wet!
