Water fountain available at main parking in non-freezing seasons. Covered picnic area and new bathroom building. Dedicated horse trailer parking is available at Hadley Valley. Open sunrise to sunset, year-round.

Runner Notes

The trail runs primarily uphill from Gougar Rd. to the Bruce Rd. access (North end of trail). You're in the open, so bring a hat, sunscreen and water.

Description

This is a crushed limestone trail for running, hiking, biking and horseback riding.

Once you reach the loop around Hadley Valley, you'll cross 2 wooden bridges over Spring Creek. The north side of the trail is at higher elevation, so you get a nice view of the prairie.

Flora & Fauna

You'll see plenty of wildflowers, birds, coyote and deer in the early morning. The view is beautiful either way you run. Wildflowers are beautiful in late spring and summer.
