Features Views

Tuweeps running trails are marked with cairns (piles of rocks). Shade and water are scarce, and water non-existent. Walk only on trails, roads and washes. Each footstep off trail may destroy fragile biological soil crusts and damage native plants. All trails are CLOSED to PETS, BICYCLES, and VEHICLES.

Description

Experience Tuweep's unique geology on this 3.1 mile old jeep trail. There are two access points: the first is signed before arriving at Tuweep Campground and the second leaves from campsite 10 in the campground.

This trail segment is part of a larger network that spans a total distance of around 60 miles, east to west, and is one of the most challenging and least visited of the Grand Canyon's named trails.
