Need to Know

This trail is only accessible via other trails.

Description

This trail starts off the top of Bickford Brook Trail and Cold Brook Trail and travels eastward. The trail travels through mostly evergreen forest to Durgin Mountain. There isn't an actual trail to Durgin Mountain, so you'll have to bushwhack (if you want to claim it). The trail continues along the ridgetop, then descends down to the top of Great Brook Trail (on the right). The trail ascends up to Butters Mountain, then descends into a notch. It traverses over both peaks of Red Rock Mountain and continues until it reaches Miles Notch Trail.

Flora & Fauna

Flora: Beech, Eastern Hemlock, Birch, White Pine, Spruce.
Fauna: Red Squirrel, Black-capped Chickadee, Nuthatch, Coyote (tracks), Woodpecker, Snowshoe Hare (tracks).
