Need to Know

Best parking for the Wikiup Mesa area is the Forest Glen Trailhead. Approach the trail via the Cedar Knoll Trail and the Sunset Loop Trail.

Description

This trail is a spur off of the Sunset Loop Trail on Wikiup Mesa. It descends slightly, but not steeply from the loop down to a lookout off the edge of the mesa. Below is Wet Beaver Creek, and across the canyon is the crater of Montezuma Well. (The water is not visible in the bottom of the crater.)

The trail is quite rocky and underused compared to the loop trail, but it is short and worth the trip.
