Description

This 2.4-mile loop starts at the Mountain View Road trailhead and descends through open high desert vegetation to a lush riparian area along San Vicente Creek. Stay left at the San Vicente Creek Trail junction. In approximately 1.2 miles, you'll see an old bridge abutment for the Southwest Railroad. Take the right fork, cross the creek and pick up the trail along the old railroad right-of-way on the opposite side of the creek, passing by the Old Chinese Gardens and the Upper Gila Watershed Alliance's bioreactors. When you see the old cement trucks blocking the trail, turn right, drop back down to the creek, and retrace your steps to the Mountain View trailhead.
