Description

Starts behind the visitor center across the field, up a mowed path to the side trail to the Devilstep Hollow Cave. Continues on a fairly level section, across a seasonal drainage to a trail junction. Take the left up the hill for short but steeper section to the next trail junction of the Cumberland Trail. Going down the hill to the next trail junction and go to the right to get back to the visitor center. You go along a field here then and old road past an old house to the headwaters of the Sequatchie River. The river flows right out of the hill side.

Flora & Fauna

Lots of spring wild flowers. Trillium, Mayapples, Fire Pink and lots of little purple and yellow flowers
