The entire trail is comprised of old logging roads that have been laced together to create a nice loop. Much of the trail is overgrown with stinging nettle and other plants. As the trail become more used, I suspect a clearer path will develop.

Coming off of the Bald Mountain Creek Loop head right and through the powerline corridor. Just after the corridor, you pass where the run closes its loop. Head uphill to the right to more quickly get to the overlook. Currently the overlook is not a very open view but it gives hints of the majesty of the mountains you are surrounded by. Continue along through this mature forest that is spotted with cascading streams and steep mountainsides until you eventually meet back at the beginning.
