Need to Know

Trail is a significant distance inside the experimental forest area. Parking is available at several locations.

Runner Notes

A lot of exposed roots. Would be an issue when wet due to some steeper areas.

Description

A interpretive trail that has several signs along the way that discuss the state of the forest and gives insight into the forest floor. Some steeper areas and root balls in the trail may be tricky during wet weather.

A well maintained trail that is a nice relaxing wind down if you have hiked up on one of the other passes.

It is easy to miss, as the marking sign is easily overgrown in the south side of the roadway.

Flora & Fauna

Natural forest openings, ferns, evergreens.
