Overview

A loop consisting of the West Fork trail and the East Fork Trail to create a run with some serious and consistent incline. The East Fork Trail, in particular, has a serious grade. Do loops to get some vertical training in.

Description

Start at the parking area and simply head up the trail past the gate. The trail begins to climb right away. A little over a quarter of a mile you'll pass the East Fork Trail coming in from the right. Stay to the left and continue to climb the West Fork Trail. Stay on this trail, huffing and puffing your way up a couple of miles. When you reach the Pinnacle Trail turnoff, you're getting close.
There are a couple of short climbs remaining and then the trail will mellow out as it brings you to the East Fork Trail. Follow this back down and enjoy as it tests your quads abilities to control your descent. When you reach the West Fork Trail again, either turn right, if you want more vert in your life, or turn left and return to the parking area the way you came up.
