Need to Know

Irene's Path begins approximately 0.9 miles up Livermore Road from the Depot Camp parking area.

Description

Irene's Path reflects trail reconfigurations needed to address the 2013 Hurricane Irene flooding. It incorporates the former Kettles Path, the top part of the former Scaur Trail (the bottom has been decommissioned), and a new 1.2 mile section between the Scaur and the Flume and Old Skidder Trail. The trail is in good shape.

It has some steep but not treacherous sections. The end-point, the Flue, is quiet and picturesque. It was a very enjoyable run. Note that the former Flume Brook Trail between the Greeley Ponds Trail and the Flume also has been decommissioned. Access to the Flume is now by Irene's Path or Livemore Road/Trail.
