Overview
This
No Business 100 training run is based out of Bandy Creek. It covers roughly 30 miles of the course including the
Grand Gap Loop Trail, John Muir Trail, and a section of trail between Bandy Creek and Charit Creek Lodge. The route includes scenic views of the river gorge and several rockhouses. Runers will also have a chance to stop at Charit Creek Lodge.
Description
Start out of the Bandy Creek Campground near the pool and head out along the
John Litton Farm Hike Loop and
Fall Branch Trail for around 5 miles until reaching the
Grand Gap Loop Trail. The
Grand Gap Loop Trail is just over 6 miles and includes some incredible overlooks of the river gorge below. After looping around, take the John Muir Trail out until it turns off at a short spur trail connecting to Duncan Hollow Road.
From here, drop down a steep gravel horse trail down to what is called by Big South Fork staff and locals as "The Hub." It's where Laurel Fork Creek and Station Camp Creek converge. From here, come off the actual NB 100 course for just a few miles as you make our way to Charit Creek Lodge. From Charit Creek Lodge, begin your trek back towards Bandy Creek following the
No Business 100 course.
