Overview

The plan is to run a giant loop in the direction of the race from Bandy Creek out to Grand Gap then to Duncan Hollow via the John Muir, down to Charit Creek Lodge and back, a distance of approximately 28.2 miles. We will make some stops along the way including at Charit Creek Lodge.

There will be one aid station setup at Grand Gap Loop that you can double up on. You can also get water at Charit Creek Lodge. It could definitely be hot and humid. You are responsible for your own nutrition and hydration on the training run. Plan on carrying your own water and whatever supplies you may need. At least two water bottles recommended but a bladder and a pack is better.

Need to Know

*Course will NOT be marked so if you are unfamiliar with the area, please purchase a National Geographic Big South Fork Map ahead of time.

*There are several options to modify the loop for a shorter run if you need to.

*You'll be required to check-in in the morning and check-out after the run.
