Features
-none-
This trail is for winter use only when snow covered.
Need to Know
During winter, there is a fully serviced chalet nearby and a trail pass is required for snowshoeing.
Runner Notes
This trail is narrow with a muddy spot so it's not the best path for running.
Description
This trail is part of an easy circuit for entry-level snowshoers. It is hard to find much level ground at Birch Brook which is daunting for quite a few people. It can also be cut off on
Robin's Route for a shortcut back. The trail branches off
Snowshoe Trail A2, meanders through spruce woods to cross
Robin's Route, takes a casual route right behind and in sight of the chalet, and then joins Snowshoe Trail B1, which leads right back to the chalet.
Flora & Fauna
The ground below the spruce trees is mossy with quite a few alders. Where the trail joins B1, the ground is perpetually wet and muddy with a thick growth of Labrador tea.
