Description

Branch off Snowshoe Trail D1 and follow a narrow trail through spruce woods until the intersection with Games Trail. After crossing the ski trail, enter a cathedral-like area of mature birch. It's a steady climb, so stop often to take in the views. Whether it's a sunny day or snow is falling (hey, try it at night with a headlamp, too!), it's always spectacular. D2 crosses Gosling View Ski Trail and then it gets challenging as fallen trees have made the trail very narrow in places especially before it merges with D1.

Flora & Fauna

The birch grove is a gem.
