Trail shared by Brandon Plewe

The best route to get to Owen's Loop, through a surprisingly pretty riparian area.

Runner Notes

This stem, and Owen's Loop in general, are probably too rough to be run the entire way.

Description

There are several ways to access Owen's Loop Trail atop the Red Hill. This one is definitely the shortest from a real trailhead, and adds some real variety to the red rocks of the rest of the trail, as it goes through a short riparian area that is lush by St. George standards.

Flora & Fauna

The pond at the beginning has fish and other wetlands life. Cottonwoods and other riparian life are in the ravine.
