Description

The race takes place in Roxborough State Park, south of Denver, Colorado. The first loop climbs briefly to 8,000 feet, then drops down into the valley through mile 7, before climbing back to the start/finish area at mile 15 (at 7,500 feet).

The second loop starts with a gentle descent through mile 21, before climbing back to the start/finish at mile 34. The final loop descends through mile 47 before a final, steep climb to the finish.

Deer, fox, pine scrub woodlands, and Douglas fir forest.

History & Background

Roxborough State Park is known for its dramatic red-rock formations, wildflowers, and wildlife.
